Complete basement finishing
Finishing a basement can change the usefulness of a house. This was a small Denver home with a great location. The basement was completely finished. This included a utility closet, large bathroom, two bedrooms, and open play space. Greatly increasing the value of the home and functionality for the family.

Warm me up
This basement was mostly finished but flooded and all the flooring was water damaged and had to be removed. We installed heated flooring. It is a great option for many reasons! It can have a thermostat per space thus saving energy costs. Because there are no open vents that tap into the venting for the main floor, sound transfer is greatly reduced. (Side point - we find most basement venting is not done to code.) It warms the space very well. Yes, there is no air conditioning but in Colorado that is usually not needed in a basement space. Beautiful new tile was installed. The home owner did extensive grade changing to prevent future flooding but if it does, the tile will hold up much better.

Safety First
Odd to have two small closets that block out light which is so needed for a basement. Without an egress window, the space cannot be listed as a bedroom. And a huge safety hazard. An egress window was added. The closet was moved to the opposite wall. Excess ductwork was removed making a higher ceiling in spaces. Freshed up with paint, white electrical outlets, new carpet and lighting.

Party down stairs
I would love to be invited to a party down in this basement. Huge space with wet bar-great for entertaining.
